On a quiet afternoon in Logan circle, I met up with high school sweethearts, Brittany and Ben for their engagement session at Le Diplomate. Light poured into the restaurant while the lunch crowd wrapped up their dates and the couple slipped into a corner table by the door.
Le Diplomate is one of their favorite restaurants, and it made sense to have their engagement session at a place they’ve spent so much time together. Over cheeseburgers, espresso martinis, and the best fries ever (think McDonalds but somehow even better), the two let the rest of the room melt away. We took some photos inside and then headed out to the street to stroll around. One of my favorite moments during their session was when a group of diners leaving the restaurant stopped to congratulate them. It was such a fun moment to photograph. The weather was a bit chilly, but there were signs of spring peeking through the chill and the city looked so beautiful as golden hour started to hit.
I can’t wait for their upcoming New Year’s Eve wedding with Silk + Slate later this year.
