How it felt.

Succinctly put, Nikki is the best photographer in the area.

My husband and I both detest having our picture taken, so we usually just look awkward in front of a camera. Nikki has a calm demeanor and a fantastic sense of humor, so we immediately relaxed in her presence. Within a few minutes, she was telling us we were “naturals” - my husband and I laughed, but I couldn’t believe my eyes when we received our photos; we did look like naturals! We loved our photos, and were shocked at how many we deemed “framers.”

Because I am in my late 30’s, I’ve been to many, many weddings and pored over endless photos with newlywed friends.
I noticed that while most were fine, the pictures we either too editorial (magazine ready, but didn’t capture the personalities or energy of the event) or just hackneyed.

Nikki is definitely an editorial photographer, but she also captures all of the laughs, goofball dance moves, tearful moments, and the subtle intimate moments amongst the guests, not just the bride and groom. She allowed me to see everything I didn’t catch, and I am forever grateful - what a gift the photos are, and what a gift Nikki is.
