How it felt.
After an engagement in front of DC's Washington Monument, Courtney and Hazem originally planned a big blowout wedding, but like many couples, had to postpone due to COVID-19. More than anything, they value their families and relationship and decided to move forward with an intimate micro-wedding and keep their wedding date of 4321. Planned and designed by Aprill of Tulle and Tinsel, the micro wedding included so many beautiful spring DC moments. The Willard was a perfect backdrop for a tea and garden reception after portraits by DC's iconic cherry blossoms. On any given weekend, you can find swarms of people gathered at The Willard to have tea, but Courtney and Hazem's tea was an extra special, intimate celebration--surrounded only by their families.
"As a groom, with absolute zero camera awareness, Nikki guided me through my awkward posing, weird hand placements, and “not so sure” smiles and non-smiles. She was patient with me, she was a cheerleader for my gorgeous bride (now wife), and she handled our family with the care and respect anyone would want. Nikki’s editorial touches are unmatched and I have officially adopted her as my “cool coach”. I’m not sure if she knows we’re best friends yet, but she’ll find out soon. 5-Stars."
