Alex and Connor’s engagement summer session at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyard started out with a few…maybe more than a few…glasses of wine and some incredible bites before roaming the grounds for some photos. I love to sit and chat for a bit before starting an engagement session with my couples because it gives everyone some time to loosen up and feel more comfortable before hopping in front of the camera to pose. If you’ve been nervous about your own engagement session, I highly recommend picking a relaxing setting. If shooting in public, choose a place with a lot of open space so that you don’t feel like all eyes are on you the entire time.

Pippin was the perfect venue, not only because of the wine and picturesque views, but also because they could bring their dog along. He had a matching outfit with the couple and while he was only in a few photos, it was well worth it.

Most of this session was photographed on Kodak Portra 400 during golden hour. I can’t wait for their wedding later this year with The Hive Wedding Co!
